Comparing 2016 Fusion to the 2015 Honda Accord

The 2015 Honda Accord targets drivers who want dependability, comfort and safety. Honda advertises its advanced safety designs and features such as LaneWatch, fuel efficiency technologies like Eco Assist and six standard airbags.

Competitive Chatter Ford Facts Simply Stated
Driver Alert System

Accord offers available LaneWatch, a small camera system on the right-side mirror that displays live video of passenger-side traffic on the center stack touchscreen whenever the driver uses the right turn signal.

The available BLIS® (Blind Spot Information System) with cross-traffic alert uses two multiple beam radar sensors built into the rear quarter panels to monitor blind spot traffic on both sides of the vehicle. (4)

Fusion with available BLIS can automatically monitor both sides of the car, while Accord only watches one side after the right turn signal has been activated. Plus, cross-traffic alert can even alert the driver to traffic when backing out of a parking space.
Eco Assist

Honda says standard Eco Assist is revolutionary fuel efficiency technology. Pressing its ECON button automatically adjusts the vehicle’s fuel consumption systems.

To help fuel efficiency, the Auto Start-Stop technology* shuts off the engine whenever the vehicle is stopped, reducing overall engine run-time. When the brake is released, the engine restarts itself.

In Accord, driver input is required to activate the standard Eco Assist. In Fusion, the available Auto Start-Stop automatically shuts off the engine when it’s stopped to help fuel efficiency.

Saftey

With six standard airbags on Accord, Honda says it’s committed to providing safety for everyone and is dedicated to implementing advanced designs and features.

Fusion has standard knee airbags for the driver and front passenger, giving Fusion a total of eight standard airbags. (1) Add to that the available inflatable rear outboard safety belts and Fusion offers a grand total of 10 airbags.

Fact is, Fusion offers two safety features you can’t get at any price on Accord: standard front knee bags and available inflatable rear outboard safety belts.

2016 Fusion vs. the Competition on Performance

With three 4-cylinder engines available, including two EcoBoost® engines, Fusion offers drivers a wide range of horsepower, torque and fuel economy capabilities. Demonstrate to your customers how the Fusion engine lineup fits their needs.
